DHANAH; makes some really good points. even if the wt is shut down as a religious org all together . they are into enough other stuff, to transform and continue i n other worldly areas . and continue to provide the good life with plenty of $$$$$$$$$$ for top wt officals. even if they have to move from brooklyn , to zambia to do it .... john

well the wt , has been pushing the generation of 1935 for some time . trying to but more time. as in the aug 2002 wt saying that the generation of the annointed is now 70 yearas old etc. and also saying the end would be before they all died.....john

My wife stole my books!!!!
by dmouse ini had an interesting conversation with a jw last week, who insisted that she was not 'brainwashed' and would be prepared to look at any evidence i had that the 'truth' was not the one true truth.. so i went to my book cupboard to get my copies of 'crisis of conscience' and 'signs of the last days - when?
' in order to lend them to her.. and they are gone!!!!
i am absolutely certain they were there only a few weeks ago.. i can only assume that my jw wife (whom i'm not on the best of terms with) has taken them.

sad story dmouse: i've been through a lot of the same type of control , from my x wife that was never a jw or even knew about jw's. it was always give me give me, and telling me to sleep in the living room when i didn't cough up the $$$$$$$$$$$$. i would pay the rent ,groceries, electric and be broke. and 2 days later she would say i didn't give her a dime.when the kids needed school clothes i would give her like $400 and tell to do the best she can with that till a month from now. and she stole my credit card and spend another $500 I DIDN'T HAVE . then she stole the tax return check from the irs. some $3500 and told me it never came. she didn't even like the idea i would keep $50-100 a week for my self to buy gas ,lunch, cigarettes, etc. she even called the police on me many times b/c i wanted to sleep in the bed and maybe have some sex! well to make a long story short i left, and was heartbroken with 2 kids. now i have a very nice girl friend and she never asks me for a dime . i took my daughter out yesterday for xmas clothes . and guess who called me while i was at the store screaming for more money and buy this and that!!!!!!! a control freak of a woman will allways be one jw or not...i learned to stand up for my self and my mental wellbeing.. my last 4 years away from my xwife have been some of my best ....it sounds to me like it's your house 85%( as far is the $$$ issue goes) . i would take a bunch of her wt books say at the value of $1 each to add up for the books she dumped on you and hide them at work etc. and tell her she can have them back when she replaces your books . them i would get a court order on her not to touch your private stuff. etc she will back down fast. hate to say it , you have already passed the point of staying with her for the kids.... best wishes john

good for you vivamus!!!!!!!!!!! they jw's can preach for hours , till you throw then a curve ball , then when you don't let them put you on your knees , and beg for forgiveness. And start hitting them over the head with thier bull cr@p. they melt like the wicked witch from the west ,once you throw a little water on their fire. they can't handle any topic thaty takes them out of thier prerecorded sales pitch. . if it was me i would call back this elder every other day for a few weeks , and melt him a little more. give him a taste of his own medicine. after you call him a few times and make steam come out of his ears, he will never bother yoju again....... john

they never stop with dates do they. just in the aug@ 2002 wt they were saying we are almost 70 years into the generation of the annointed from 1935 . and giving the idea, that this generation would be the last add 70-80+ years to 1935 and you get from 2005-@ 2030 tops! then in a 2001may wt and a 1997 wt they say " we can confidently say today millions now living will never die". that gives a max of 100 years , if they count all the babies born at the thoses years.in the 1980's it was the generation of 1914 and references to the year 2000 . be fore that it was 1975. even the idea of 3 1/2 years from 75 to 1979. they even threw out a few references to 1984and 86 . there was the whole idea that the u.s.s.r was the king of the north , and would take over the u.s etc in that time line from the 1950's -90's back to the generation 1914+37 =1951 or 1914 +40 =1954 the korean war. before that it was hitler was approved by jehovah 1934-38, then when the wt got dumped by the nazis , hitler became the king of the north to take over the world and finish in the big A . in the late 20's the next war was to be a mustard gas war! the greaqt tribulation was to start in 1936, the rapture was to be in 1931-32. in the 20's jesus was to talk on radio to tell all about 1925 ( see finished mystery)there was to be a rapture in 1921. all the gov't destroyed in 1920 in 1918 first armageddon then all non jw's bodies rotten in the streets. of course the big A in 1914 or 1915 and also ww1 being armageddon. lets go back to 1799 and the french dumping the pope on some island and you have the beginning of the time of the end and 1829 being the falling of the heavens and earth to bring us to 1844. and the second advent of christ - then an invisble invent in 1844or 45 and add 30 years to bring you to , all the false prophecies of the 1870's the 6000 years in 1872or75 and jesus returning again in 1874 and to kingdom power in 1878, i know i forget about 1873+76 and the pyarmid. but the rapture in 1881 on easter sunday . with russell standing on a bridge in pittsburg with the newspapers there to record him going to heaven . had to be a nice scoop. just for good measure the great tribulation to be in first 1905-07 then 1910-12. was a little more wt nonsense... i know i left out maqny dates and got some of the teaching and dates mixed up. but it has worked for the adventists and the wt for some 200 years . so what is to stop them from doing it some more for the next 2000 years. from the words of P.T. how true. once you take a jw out of thier little box of prerecorded answers and verses they know... most jw;s will fold like a house of cards. in fact i find it easy just set them up that they follow the whole bible . the more they talk the more they put their foot in their mouths. the smart one's know when to run. that usally takes place in 10 seconds to 10 minutes. they hate informed ppl...john
